4worldlovers: For those looking for flexible scheduling and wanting to try out different classes. Attend any of our 50 minute drop in classes as your schedule allows.* Pay as you go or buy a discounted 6 lesson punch card. (punch cards are valid for 3 months from date of purchase)

* Level 2, 3 and 4 Salsa classes require evaluation. For new students with prior Salsa On 2 training, please attend a level 1 drop in on Tuesday or Thursday at 7pm and ask to be evaluated. Alternatively, you may schedule a 1 hour private lesson at your convenience. New students may not bypass the evaluation requirement. Any attempt to walk in to a level 2 or higher class without being formally evaluated will result in being told to attend a level 1 drop in or to schedule a private lesson.

For those looking for structured, efficient group training designed for faster progression. Classes are 1 hour 20 minutes and meet once a week for 4 weeks. Limited capacity. $130 per person.*

MAKE UP POLICY- A missed 4 week course lesson can be made up, free of charge in a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday drop in class (see full schedule for times). Students who miss the entire course will have 4 make up classes. A missed course may not be carried over to another month.


** To ensure our level 2 Salsa course is productive for all attendees, evaluation is required to participate. Unless you have successfully completed our level 1 course, please attend a level 1 drop in or schedule a private lesson, where we can evaluate you. Without evaluation, your order will be converted to 4 drop in classes.

Competitive lessons are for dancers who want a regimented and exacting approach to dance instruction. Competitive lessons are all about creating dancers who thoroughly understand and incorporate proper technique, partnering, and artistry into their dancing.


First dance lessons are private lessons designed for engaged couples who need a little help preparing for the first dance at their wedding reception. These lessons focus on each specific couple's needs as related to their skill level, first dance song and vision for their first dance.


Swing is one of the of the most versatile social dances. Swing got its start in Harlem in the 1920s with the beginning of jazz music, and has continuously developed since then into multiple styles. At Ballroom Dance Chicago we teach about 10 swing variations.

Salsa has been the most popular dance at Ballroom Dance Chicago since our inception. We teach a variety of styles and start on both the "1" and the "2," but we're mainly an "on 1" school. We have both group and private salsa lessons.


Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Rumba are the focus in our ballroom dance curriculum. We're different than other studios in that we also teach variations of these styles of dance that fit with most modern music.
